He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Johnnie, Esther Campbell (Zeh), Alfred and Doris Schneider (Layden); his stepfather Gerald Painter; and his uncle Danny Evans.

He is survived by: his significant other Roberta Joanne Roper (Bobbie); his children, Sienna (Ryan), Jay, Dawson and Denver; his significant other's children, Teiran and Raeleen; his parents, Dwen Campbell and Christine Painter; his sister Jacquelyn Olson (Ryan); his nieces and nephews, Madison (Jordan), August (Ava), Charlie and Jette; his brother Scott Painter; his children, Adriann, Blake and Shane; and also, Bob, Germaine Roper of Caroline Alberta, Tom Roper, Dani and Lexi. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Donations in memory of Johnnie may be made to the Children's Hospital, Calgary or the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, if so desired.
