He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Kooy and Shirley Vander Kooy. He is survived by: his wife Rose Vander Kooy; his children, Cathy, Peter (Trina) and Karl (Jen); and his stepchildren, Jerry (Tammy), Lana (Bob), Evan (Brenda), Rita (Brian), Leanne (Cory), Richard and Jason. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
