He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Toone and Afton Toone (Beazer); and his sisters, Ellen Rausch (Randy) and Karen Lavers (Don). He is survived by: his wife Karen Toone (Hogg); his children, Cody (Shannon), Gentry (Jennifer), Nicole Hillyer (Dan), Ben (Sara) and Kate O'Farrell (John); and his brother Jim (Karin). He is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
