She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Dr. Andy Strang; her parents, John MacDonald and Mary MacDonald; her children, Gerald (Elizabeth), Joe (Lacey), Jeff (Jolene), Jim (Anita), Janet Ruckman, Shannon Strang-Meijer (Dennis) and Eric; and her sister Charlene. She was also cherished by twenty grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
