He was predeceased by: his son Lyndon Knife; his parents, Louis Knife Sr. and Mary Louise Knife (McDonald-Trollenger); and his siblings, Louis Knife Jr., Ralph Knife, Emelda Black Water (Gilbert), Evangeline Provost (Larry), Joan Eagle Speaker (Morton), Randy Knife, Joe Knife (Margaret), Ed Knife (Tammy), Teresa Black Water (Levi), Pauline Steinhauer, Bernadette and Andrew Bullcalf.
He is survived by: his son Laine Knife; his wife Pauline Knife; and his grandson Dylan.
