He was predeceased by: his parents, Jane Mattinson and William Mattinson; his sister Rosemary Mattinson; his daughters, Laureen and Maureen Mattinson; and his granddaughter Brittany Taylor.

He is survived by: his wife Pauline May Mattinson; his daughters, Shannon Rose Marko (Chris), Melanie Jayne Kirk (Brad) and Angela Dawn Long (Mike); his grandchildren, Shaun Marko, Jennifer Herman, Brennon Kirk, Braedan Kirk and Megan Kirk; his great grandchildren, Octavia Herman and Jaspyn Marko; and his brothers, Bill Mattinson (Joyce) and John Mattinson (Sharon).
