Thelma Glennie Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thelma Glennie of Camrose, Alberta, who passed away on January 30, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Lien and Tora Lien (Yttri); her husband Robert John Glennie (Bob); her son John Robert Glennie; her sister Bessie Sax; her brother-in-law Norman Sax; her nephew Leslie Sax; and her siblings-in-law, Alice Reist and Alex Glennie.

She is survived by: her daughter Margaret Beattie (Rick) of Grande Prairie; her granddaughter Shannon Beattie (Logan Popesco); her great grandchildren, Sydney, Leondra, Broley and Ulric of Dawson Creek, BC; her children, Mary-Ann Tourangeau (Pierre) of Edmonton and Allen Glennie of Camrose; her sister-in-law Margaret Glennie of Victoria, BC; her niece Leona Petrak (Michael) of Ladysmith, BC; and her nephew David Glennie of Chetwynd, BC..

We would also like to thank the wonderful nurses on 5 north at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Grande Prairie for their caring and kindness in mom's last days particularly with all the complications and stresses of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's, Dementia and Cancer foundations.
