It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rita Barbara Bendfeld of Camrose, Alberta, who passed away on July 21, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Arnold; her children, Lynda and Roger; her son-in-law Doug Burkard; her great grandchild Mary Jean; her parents, George Kroetsch and Caroline Kroetsch; her siblings, John, Edward (Nora), Loretta, Linus, Anna (Clifford Van Slyke), Edna (Ken Hauser), Irene and Leander; and also, Dale Malick and Hugh O'Rourke.
She is survived by: her children, Norbert Bendfeld (Loreen), Larry Bendfeld (Vera), Anne Burkard, Jim Bendfeld (Rose), Theresa Steil (Jerry) and Grant Bendfeld (Renee); and her daughter-in-law Gail Bendfeld. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
