She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Zimmerman and Carrie Zimmerman; her half-brother Clarence Grove; her husband Virgil Merle Gerber; her son Rudy; and her siblings, Paul, Mearl, Gerald, Cleda and Edna.

She is survived by: her children, Virginia Partridge (Lorne), Annette Hillaby, David Gerber (Maureen), Gloria Gerber (Robert Stefaniuk) and Shelley Gerber (Robert Mathewson); her daughter-in-law Joan Gerber (Paul Winterhalt); her siblings, Earl Zimmerman and Glenna Adams; and her sister-in-law Edith Gerber. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
