She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Weidknecht and Bronislawa Weidknecht; her brother Jon Weidknecht; and her husband Norman Benard. She is survived by: her sister Barbara Fear (Wayne); her niece Sonya Kennedy; her grandchildren, Colten Brown, Brooklyn Papp, Nicholas Papp, Dominique Giesbrecht, Dakota Giesbrecht, Taylor Dixon (Jacob Sutherland) and Austin Dixon; her great grandchild Madison Sutherland; and her pets, Pickles and Kasha.

Due to the pandemic restrictions a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
