He was predeceased by: his wife Audrey; his daughter Roxanne Kroetsch; his brother-in-law Irvin Howrish; his sons-in-law, Allan Kroetsch and Richard Kroetsch; and his brother Milton Makarowski.

He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Ness (Barry) of Camrose and Charlene Kroetsch (George Lepard) of Camrose; his siblings, Jean Gabruck (George) of Sedgewick, Irene Howrish of Edmonton and Doris Miciak (Kenny) of Edmonton; his sister-in-law Celine Makarowski of Camrose; and his close friend Mary Percy of Camrose.
