He was predeceased by: his wife Doreen; his son Darrell Richards; his parents, Clem and Ida; his grandson Michael O'Connor; and his great grandchild Trey O'Connor.
He is survived by: his children, Gerry Bynoe (Rosa) and Pam Paris-Howe (Brad Howe) of Joey's Only; his stepchildren, Anna Hebert, Ernest Hebert and Susan Hebert; his grandson Josh Brewer; and his sister Bernice Lee. He is also survived by four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He ended up succumbing to COVID and passing away on New Year's Day 2024.
