She was predeceased by: her husband Gordon Snider; and her daughter Linda Shwaluk. She is survived by: her daughter Judith O'Shaughnessy; her grandsons, Bryn (Lisa), Ryan O'Shaughnessy (Victoria) and John Shwaluk (Patricia); her great grandchildren, Owen, Clare, Emma and Elizabeth; and her son-in-law Jack Shwaluk. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to commemorate Elsie's life may be made to the St. Mary's Hospital, Camrose Foundation.
