He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Volk and Margaret Volk; and his siblings, Helen Rothe, Sr. (Pat), Margaret Volk, Ralph Volk and Wilfred Volk (Caroline).
He is survived by: his wife Josephine Martz of Heisler; his children, Cary Wakefield (Alvin), Annette Jones (Robert), Debby Zwack (Ed), Brenda Badry (Myron), Floyd Volk (Sharon), Susanne Wolbeck (David), Randy Volk and Mark Volk (Lori); his siblings, Donald Volk (Evelyn), Arnold Volk (Geraldine) and Carol Ryan (Jerry); and his sister-in-law Janice Volk. He is also survived by twenty grandchildren; thirty-nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Martin Roman Catholic Church (313 Manning Ave, Heisler, AB T0B2A0).
