He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha Bertschi; his parents, Rene Bertschi and Ida Bertschi; and his siblings, Ella Zimmerman, Alice Clarke, Ernie and Eddie Bertschi.
He is survived by: his children, Deb Granger (Wilf), Randy Bertschi (Lorna) and Brian Bertschi; and his sister Peggy Mears. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
