He was predeceased by: his son Dean; his parents, Arthur and Hilda; his parents-in-law, Ellen and George Niles; and his sister Elsie McKenzie.
He is survived by: his wife Bev; his children, Shelley Zerk (Rick) of Rosetown, SK and Trent Schaber (Ellis Hall) of Edmonton; his daughter-in-law Wanda Schaber of Saskatoon, SK; his siblings, Ella Unland (Dale) of Wetaskiwin, Dave Schaber (Donna) of Langley, BC and Ernie Schaber (Dolly) of Abbotsford, BC; and his brother-in-law Ervin McKenzie of Kelowna, BC.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Don's memory may be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital, or to the charity of one's choice.
