He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his son Murray Spark; his son-in-law Doug Murray; and his brothers, Ross Spark and Alvin Spark.

He is survived by: his children, Don Truman (Jane) of Goderich, Barbara Spark (Craig Robertson) of Grand Valley and Kathy Murray of Camrose; and his sisters, Helen Marentette, Jean Anderson and Florence Jordan. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
