She was predeceased by: her husband Walter McFadyen; her parents, Sidney Cootes and Elizabeth Cootes; her siblings, Edith Bondaruk, Peggy Walker and Stanley Walker; and her daughter-in-law Shirley McFadyen.

She is survived by: her children, Lawrence McFadyen (Betty), Les McFadyen and Sharon Sanders; her grandchildren, Kent, Mark (Bree), Scott, Alana, Louise and Jeanette (Arnie); her great grandchildren, Shaun, Justin and Nick; and her great great grandchild Rosabella.
