She was predeceased by: her parents, George Pledge and Marjorie Pledge; and her siblings, Mary Rooney and Bill Pledge (William). She is survived by: her husband William Bodnarchuk; her son Timothy Bodnarchuk; and her sisters, Fay Cook and Kathy Giesbrecht. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Dr SE, Calgary, AB T2J3B3). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7). A reception will be held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Arbor Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7).
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Calgary would be appreciated. Virginia enjoyed reading and Alzheimer's disease stole that ability away from her.
