She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Smith and Mabel Smith of Ponoka, Alberta.. She is survived by: her spouse Jerry Kramps; her siblings, Winnie Smith, Kenneth and Elbert Smith; her siblings-in-law, Kathy, Joey and Michael Kramps; her niece Roberta Kramps; her sons, James (Jodi), Kevin, Darcy and Michael (Ian); her grandchildren, Kelsey and Zachary Jones; her brother Howard Smith (Gaylene); her brother-in-law Louis Smith (Winnie); her brother Eugene (Shirley Kramps); her sisters-in-law, Cherry Kramps (Robert) and Marilyn Harlos (Michael); and also Pearl Gregor.

Shirley's hospitalization coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic, severely limiting family visits.
