We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2024, at the age of 91, Shirley Dukes in Calgary, Alberta, born in Hamilton, Ontario passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Shirley may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hargreaves and Flora Hargreaves; her brother Roy; her sister-in-law Ena; her sister Eleanor Nixon of Nanton, AB; and her niece Cynthia Webber.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Braid (Maurice Mandale) of Truro, NS, Susan Bardahl (Jack) of Medicine Hat, Paul Nixon of Calgary and Dwight Nixon (Luanne) of Calgary. She is also survived by seven great-nieces and nephews, and their spouses, and ten great-great-nieces and nephews.
