He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Dixson and Louise Dixson; and his siblings, Melvin, Marion (Shepard), Ralph, Harris, Sheldon and Maynard.
He is survived by: his wife Patty Phillips; his children, Tammie (Idrees) and Kirk (Crystal); his grandchildren, Tariq, Zahra and Isaac (Tammie); and his siblings, Gerry, Claude (Lynn) and Alice Hutton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
