He was predeceased by: his parents, Kunichi and Cicely; his siblings, James and Cicely Beskal; and his brother-in-law John Beskal.
He is survived by: his wife Kayla; his sons, Randy of Edmonds, WA and Rob of Calgary; his stepchildren, Leslie of Calgary, Kurt (Bernice) of Fort Saskatchewan and Scott (Colleen) of Calgary; and his sister-in-law Carroll Duncan of London, ON. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Arbor Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7). A reception will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7).
In 2006 his significant contributions to high school basketball in Alberta as an official were recognized with his induction into the Alberta Schools' Athletic Association Hall of Fame.
