He was predeceased by: his parents, Segundo Mapanao and Genoveva Mapanao; his former wife Patricia Mapanao; and his son Bernard Mapanao. He is survived by: his wife Brigida Mapanao; and his sister Nonita Vichitpahanakarn. He is also survived by his six children, many grandchildren, and even more great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Country Hills Crematorium and Funeral Services (11995 16 St NE, Calgary, AB T3K0S9).
