He was predeceased by: his parents, Andy and Ada; and his siblings, Lori and Gordon. He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Jason, Colin (Laura) and Ashley (Frazer); his grandson Oliver; his brother David; and his siblings-in-law, Brent Toner Barry Toner (Diane Bulmer) and Bonnie Gritchen. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7). A reception was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7).
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Mike's name to the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre, 3395 Hospital Drive N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N1.
