He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilia Manfredi and Luigi Lamacchia; his siblings, Teresa, Antonio, Francesco and Salvatore; and his grandson Marino Silvaniuk.

He is survived by: his wife Elvira; his children, Mary Silvaniuk (Tyler) and John Lamacchia (Shirlee); his grandchildren, Mike Lamacchia (Liana), Nevada Silvaniuk, Kristen Hodge (Curtis), Tanis Olynyk (Ryan), Scott Lamacchia (Rachel), Matthew Lamacchia, Mikaela Lamacchia and Alexandra Lamacchia; his great grandchildren, Lucas, Ryleigh Hodge, Abigail, Malcolm Olynyk, Caleb and Peyton Lamacchia; and his sister Michelina Polillo.
