We are sad to announce that on August 27, 2024, Marie Magdalen Blatz of Calgary, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Marie Magdalen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Marie Magdalen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She is survived by: her children, Bob Blatz (Remy) and Margaret Wasylenko (Mike); her grandchildren, Michelle Wasylenko (Aileen), Melissa Wasylenko (Ron) and Bev Friesen (Weldon); her great grandchildren, Kate, Erin, Vanessa and Natalie; and her great great grandchild Fergus.
