It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maria Victoria Mendes of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on June 29, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Maria Carmo Pardal and Jeronimo Bentes Viera; her brother Fernando Viera (Blanca); her daughter Kelly (Loizos); her daughter-in-law Lynn (late Helder); and her grandchildren, Matthew (Susan), Kaity (Ben), Justin (Kayley), Ryan (Andrea), Rachelle (Tony) and Maria. She was also cherished by her fifteen great-grandchildren.
