Maria Varro Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Maria Varro (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on November 30, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Janos Slezak and Maria Slezak; and her siblings, Janos Slezak, Pista Slezak and Katalin Keller.
She is survived by: her child Katalin (Kathy); her former spouse Imre Varro; her son Imre Jr. (Sherilyn); her grandchild Taylor; her sister Julianna Slezak; her daughter Maria (Mike); her grandchildren, Crystal (Tyler), Jennifer, Michelle (Rocky), David and Travis (Christal); and her daughter Kathy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
A prayer was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E6P4). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (404 Northmount Pl NW, Calgary, AB T2K3P9).
