She was predeceased by: her parents, Ilias and Jadwiga; her brother Andrzej; and her sister-in-law Bozena. She is survived by: her husband Janusz Skorniewski; her children, Emilia and Conrad; her children-in-law, Christopher and Breanna; her siblings, Ania and Janek; her sister-in-law Jolanta; and her extended family Holloway.
Maria was a devoted volunteer, canvassing for the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Diabetes Association, and the Cancer and Lung Association for fifteen years.
