It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret Ellen Shevkenek (Calgary, Alberta), born in Bethune, Saskatchewan, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Edwin Alexander; her husband Stephen Shevkenek (Jan2007); her son Murray Shevkenek (Oct2009); her grandson Todd Shevkenek (Nov2007); her great grandchild Anna Shevkenek (May2005); and her mother Edith.

She is survived by: her children, Alan Shevkenek (Vi) of Yellowknife, Pat Torgerson of Toronto, Brian Shevkenek (Bev) of Kelowna, Lynn Moerschbacher (John) of Calgary, Ted Shevkenek (Tina) of Fort St and Mark Shevkenek (Connie) of Calgary; and also, James, Samuel, Albert, William and Robert.
