She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Bipin Ganatra; and her siblings, Dev and Usha. She is survived by: her daughter Seema; her son-in-law John Valentine; her granddaughter Anika; her siblings, Som, Raj and Shashi; and her nieces and nephews, Sandeep, Deep, Vivek, Nikhil, Sushane, Ashwin, Sonia, Shilpa, Anita, Jyoti, Lata, Mina and Sejal.

If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Dr. Kamal Ganatra can be made to Alzheimer Society of Calgary.
