He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gelowitz and Anne Gelowitz; his stepmother Mary; and his siblings, Clarence, Reinold, Allan and Millie.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian; his sons, Rick (Marsha), Doug (Lila) and Dean (Elaine); his grandson Joey (Rosie); his stepgranddaughter Alana (Jono); his stepgreat-grandson Ryker; and his sister Freda (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
