Jose Carreiro Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jose Carreiro (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on April 10, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jose Carreiro to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Cremilde Carreiro; his parents, Jacinto Carreiro and Corina Carreiro; his brother Manuel Carreiro; and his brother-in-law Antonio Teofilo.
He is survived by: his children, Oriana Moniz (Manuel Santos) of Calgary, Joe Carreiro (Tammie Carreiro) of Calgary and Neli Pires (Francisco Pires) of Chestermere; his grandchildren, Jessie Stagg (Stephen), Lanny Aguiar (Lindsay), Billy Aguiar, Bobby Aguiar (Amy), Shawn Carreiro (Cassandra), Nicholas Carreiro and Victoria Pelletier (Matt); his great grandchildren, Julien, Olivia, Tristan, Emilio, Liam, Ella, Mia, Lilliana and Mateo; his sisters, Ortencia Teofilo and Conceicao Medeiros (Herminio); and his sister-in-law Julia Carreiro. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (4747 30 St SE, Calgary, AB T2B3K5). A vigil service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T2P2G7).
