He was predeceased by: his wife Gertrude Schlamp; and his brothers, Oswald and Chadwin. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Schott (Harvey), Brenda Chambers (Steve) and Grant Geres (Kim); his grandchildren, Jonathan Chambers (Rachel), Kevin Chambers (Vanessa), Nicole Pervez (Umair), Vanessa Schott, Morgan Geres and Kylie Geres; his great grandchildren, Kyson Schott, Ellie Chambers and Quinn Chambers; his close friend Barb Martin; his siblings, Chester, Delmar and Diane; and his siblings-in-law, Inge Hack, Ursula Hack and Richard Schlamp. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, Jerry requested memorial donations to Foothills Lutheran Church (3104 – 34th Avenue N.W., Calgary, AB, T2L 2A3) or Concordia Lutheran Seminary (7040 Ada Blvd NW, Edmonton, AB, T5B 4E3).
