She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Brookes and Borghild Brookes (Brookes); her sister Sylvia; her husband Keith Knight; her daughter Cheryl Houston; her son-in-law Doug Houston; and her brother Ronald Brookes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Melanie Pettersen (Harry) and Rhonda Knight (Darren); her siblings, John Brookes (Janice) and Ann Conrad (Duane); her sister-in-law Delores Brookes; and her grandchildren, Scott Houston (Renee Usselman), Joel Houston (Savanna Atwood), Amy Houston, Amanda Houston (Calder Knowles), Michelle Guimin (Paul), Kellie Squires (Andrew) and Jeffrey Pettersen (Chelsey). She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
