He was predeceased by: his daughter Leann Dawn; his granddaughter Emma Taylor; his parents, Eleanor Dornstauder and Alexander Dornstauder; his sister Marie Moe; and his brother-in-law Doug Moe.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his daughters, Myra Sloan (Murray), Tammy Taylor (Corey) and Cara Coe (Ryan); his grandchildren, Logan, Tyler Sloan, Grace, Rebecca, Amy Taylor, Samantha and Lauren Coe; and his siblings, Carole Deutscher (Norman) and Ken Dornstauder (Linda).
