He was predeceased by: his parents, Helena Funk and Jacob Funk; and his siblings, Henry Funk, Aron Funk, Anne Petkau and Lena Corneilson.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Funk of Airdrie; his children, Michelle Jones of Okotoks and Troy Funk (Andrea) of Smoky Lake, AB; and his sisters, Sarah Dueck, Tina Corneilson, Marie Dueck and Eva Dueck. He is also survived by his three grandchildren.
