He was predeceased by: his parents, Heinrich Schmidt and Lisa Schmidt. He is survived by: his wife Ingrid; his children, Ralph, Ronaye Schmidt, Angie and Larry Albush; his grandchildren, Amy, Cailean Wood, Lisa, James Howard, Robyn, Trevor Klein and Colin Albush; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Brooks, Wyatt, Presley, Jack and Theodore.
Memorial donations in Herbert's name will be gratefully accepted by the Lung Association of Canada and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
