It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Edward Kubicek (Calgary, Alberta), born in Drumheller, Alberta, who passed away on June 19, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Ida; his parents, George Kubicek and Margaret Kubicek; his brothers-in-law, Tony Monden and Angelo Fiorentini; and his cousin Ivo Cinel.
He is survived by: his children, Lynette Bueckert (Rob), Terry Vona (Marcello) and Ron Kubicek (Spryng); his grandchildren, Kyle, Mitchell, Holland, Jeffrey, Olivia, Nicole and Alyssa; his sister Cecelia Busetto (Joe); his sisters-in-law, Ines Fiorentini, Anna Pockar (Mirko) and Silvana Monden; and his cousin Bianca Cinel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
