Don Shanks Obituary

He was predeceased by: his parents, Art Shanks and Dorothy Shanks; and his brothers, Ian Shanks and Michael Shanks (Mike). He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sisters, Norma Borowski (Peter) of Calgary and Barbara Shanks of Vancouver; his nephew Bill Manzer (Tara) of Calgary; his great-nephews, Brett Manzer (Dana) and Darren Manzer (Nikita) of Calgary; his sister-in-law Connie Storr (Kevin); his nephew Evan Shanks; and his niece Marie Ross. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elbow Valley Reception Centre of Eden Brook Funeral Home (24223 Township Rd 242, Calgary, AB T3Z3K2).
If friends desire memorial tributes can be made to STARS Air Ambulance, the Salvation Army, the Calgary Food Bank or a charity of their choice.
