He is survived by: his wife Mary Gawlinski of Calgary, AB; his daughters, Noelle Giraldo (Carlos) of Calgary and Hayley Orton (Eugene Mjakinkovs) of Swansea; the mother of his children Cathy Sereda; his sons, Oliver Bladek (Samantha Lawson) of Sydney, Matthew Bladek of Calgary and Dexter Bladek of Calgary; his grandchildren, Hugo, Adele Mjakinkovs-Orton of Swansea, Antonia Giraldo of Calgary, Charlotte and Eva Lawson Bladek of Sydney, Australia.; his siblings, John Orton of Oshawa, Nancy Daglish (Tom) of Visalia, California and Fran Adams (Dan) of Oshawa; his brother-in-law Geoffrey Gawlinski; his nieces and nephews, Ronan and Connor of Calgary; his mother-in-law Helen Gawlinski of Calgary; and his aunt Sophie Tietz of Calgary. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
Other highlights included a bicycle tour in France in 2007, Japan in 2012, South Africa in 2014, and a Mediterranean cruise just before COVID-19.
