He was predeceased by: his son Cris Jan Layog (Niome Layog) of Montreal. He is survived by: his daughters, Criby (Francis Del Castillo), Cathyrose Layog, Riad of Saudi Arabia, Charel Maceda, Cherry Joy (Nick Constacos) and Ceny Layog; and his siblings, Leo Layog and Marcideta Layog. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
