He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Peggy; his siblings, Mary Allison (Alex) and Sam Gibson (Betty); his siblings-in-law, Jean Boyle (Johnny), Teddy Kerr (Betty) and Andrew Kerr (Ella); his niece Margaret Kerr; and his great-nephew David Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Gibson of Calgary, AB; his children, Loraine, Paul (Shelly), Stuart (Diane) and Will (Claudia); his grandchildren, Kyle, Mitch, Cole, Nicole, Eric, Chris, Matteo, Derek and Cory; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Sarah; his sister Irene Learmonth (Frank) of East Kilbride; and his brother-in-law Billy Kerr (Glasgow) of Royston Hill. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews in Scotland, and close friends.
