A memorial service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Scarboro United Church (134 Scarboro Ave, Calgary, AB T3C2H1).
In 2012, Arij was recognized as a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for having made significant contributions to Canada and his communities.
