He was predeceased by: his wife Ida; his parents, Rocco Amato and Marta Lucia Amato; and his brothers, Gerardo and Salvatore Amato.
He is survived by: his daughter Anna Lucia Bodio; his son-in-law Mickey Bodio; his grandchildren, Paige Bodio and Travis Bodio (Twyla); and his siblings, Raffaele Amato (Giovanna) and Annina. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
