It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Andrew John Sawatzky (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John J. Sawatzky and Maria Sawatzky; and his siblings, Abe Sawatzky, Maria Dick, Hans Sawatzky and Henry Sawatzky.

He is survived by: his wife Henrietta Rosalind Sawatzky; his children, Conrad Sawatzky (Danielle Sturrock) of Calgary, Alberta and Kim Sawatzky of Whitehorse; his grandchildren, Jacob, Emi, Espen and Mira; and his sister Helen Harms of Abbotsford, BC.

And when I was attending SAIT in Calgary and rooming at your house, he kindly overlooked the many times I forgot not to open the malfunctioning front passenger door of his otherwise trusty VW, whereupon each and every time, he patiently maneuvered the door until it was back in position.
