He is survived by: his spouse Margaretha Koethler; his children, Margaretha Knelsen (Jacob), Katharina Klassen (Johan), Cornelius Koethler (Katharina), Susana Koethler, Abraham Koethler (Tina), Elizabeth Giesbrecht (Johan), Wili Koethler (Susan) and Isaak Koethler; and his father Jacob Koethler of Mexico.
