She was predeceased by: her husband Darryl Smith; her parents, Ted Heckenlaible and Olga Heckenlaible; and also, Earl, Ethel Smith and Allan Smith.

She is survived by: her children, Kurt Smith (Sonya, family: Kaylee Ray, Braden Smith) of Burdett and Kari Young (Anthony) of Chandler; her grandchildren, Shelby and Sadie; her great grandchildren, Elliyah, Madelyn and Rosalie; her sister Audrey Danby (Allen) of Calgary; and her sister-in-law Margaret Smith of Bow Island. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
