He was predeceased by: his parents, Willys Wise and Beverly Wise of Irricana; his sister Sue Silbernagel; and his brother-in-law Daryl Hay. He is survived by: his children, David Wise and Bonnie England (Mike); his granddaughter Kate; his sisters, Donna Hay of Carbon and Kelly Schmaltz (Kevin) of Vernon; his brother-in-law Ray Sibernagel of Beiseker; his nephew Peter Van Otterloo (Chantalle); and his nieces, Tanya Van Otterloo (Drew Halter), Brandy Hay-Morgan (Jason) and Stephanie Hay Evans. He is also survived by his children, granddaughter and friends.
